Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with great working hours?

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Sheds/Stores Operator to join a busy manufacturing and distribution environment handling steel building products.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe handling, storage, preparation and dispatch of steel building products.

The role involves operating forklifts and overhead cranes while ensuring quality, safety and efficiency standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack and prepare steel building products for storage, transfer and dispatch.
• Safely handle steel products of varying lengths, sizes and weights.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move and position materials efficiently.
• Complete pre-start equipment inspections and safety checks.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
• Follow site safety procedures and safe work practices at all times.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Report equipment faults, hazards and safety concerns promptly.

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF) (essential).
• Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environment.
• Ability to safely handle large, non-palletised steel products.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transport and a strong work ethic.
